The V between the thumb on your left hand, and the index finger on your left hand, point towards your right shoulder. If your alignment is correct, your grip is correct, and your swing is correct, then you should hit the ball correctly. Two short irons to get to the green, instead of wasting a long iron shot that goes into the woods, or the water. Whenever you swing, make sure you take your time, and think about your shot, before you take your swing. Whenever you're ready and comfortable with your shot, go ahead and finish the swing. That should save you some strokes, and that's how you make a proper golf swing."
