"The knuckler is another term for knuckle ball, it's called that because the knuckles can be used to deaden the ball and to create very little or no rotation. It can be also thrown with the finger tips which is also called a knuckler. The, again the purpose is the grip deadens the ball does not allow it to rotate. It should be, it should rotate one revolution or less to create the effect of a floating, diving, fluttering, all those things that knuckle balls do. That is a knuckler."
