"The cutter is thrown with the two seams, it's much the same as a two seam fast ball. The cutter is accomplished by either cutting the ball to the right or the left if you want to cut the ball to the right and you are a right handed pitcher, you would cut the ball in half and position both fingers on the right side of the ball. If you wanted to cut the ball to the left in a cutter fast ball, you position your fingers on the left half of the ball to create spin and movement that would make the ball basically curve to the right."
