"The knuckle curve ball can be gripped in various ways and knuckle ball pitchers will vary greatly in how they grip the ball. It can literally be gripped with the fingertips or it can be gripped with the knuckles. The purpose of a knuckle curve ball is to create movement that curves much like a regular curve ball.
