"It depends on the type of mesothelioma, the two most common types involve the pleura, that is the covering around the lung. And that would present with increasing shortness of breath, and a constant nagging typically worsening chest pain. The second most type involves the peritoneum, that is the inside of the abdomen. And that would present with distention from fluid in the abdomen called ascites, of pain and at times compression of organs in there such as the bowel, and with bowel obstruction. And that would present with nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain."
