"Hi, this is Yolanda from Vanveen Bulbs and in this segment we're going to talk about does hair clipping help your grass grow? So there's lots of wives tales about putting fish heads or grass clippings or putting hair clippings onto your lawn and that it should help. And theoretically, I guess there's something to it. Because your hair is made up of carbon and nitrogen and parts of your body and so as it breaks down, it is a, it breaks down to compost as well. But, saying that, I have a rule, my number one rule is no body parts and no fluids and nothing belongs to my garden that didn't come here naturally and I guess hair is a natural part of our bodies, but at the same time, I would think that it would only attract different kinds of raccoons or animals to your yard and in the end, they say that hair does deter the deer, but my deer are so tame that I do not think that hair is going to make any difference to them. So theoretically hair clippings would probably work but in the end, the best thing that you can do for your lawn is every fall and every spring, go over any weeds or any spots that don't look really good and put some compost down and over seed everything. Put lots of grass seed down. The perennial variety that's going to come back from year to year and that way the lush grass will come in from the new seeds and you'll have a gorgeous, gorgeous lawn without anything else in it."
