"Hi I'm Tim Gipson and I'm going to talk to you about how to repair a leaky outdoor faucet. Now most of the time when we have a problem with our outdoor faucet leaking it is usually to do with the seal around your faucet here and that is easily fixed and what you are going to need is you are going to need a pair of channel locks such as this or a crescent wrench, or adjustable wrench or something like that and that would be suitable as well. So if we are getting some leaking around this valve stem here there is a nut right here which holds the compression in that and all I need to do to fix that is to tighten this in a clockwise manner and tighten it just until that leak stops. Now if it gets to a point where tightening that doesn't work then what we would need to do is remove this and also remove the next set in here. There is two lock nuts in here so if the whole assembly is leaking then I can remove this whole assembly from here then I can take that to my home improvement or hardware store and get the replacement for that, match it up to the type of faucet that I have, put that altogether and again, but for most cases if you have got some leaking or some drips here if you'll just simply tighten up these two right here with a pair of channel locks or an adjustable wrench you should be able to take care of that. So I'm Tim Gipson with how to fix an outside leaking faucet."
