"Hi, I'm Tim Gipson and I'm going to talk to you about how to select paint stripper. Now the first thing that you need to do is decide what kind of stripper that you need. Stripper comes in a liquid form, it comes in a paste form, it comes in a gel form and also you can get it in a spray form such as this. Now depending on what type of stripping that you're doing, if you're working on vertical surfaces, then you're probably going to want to use a paste or a gel or even a spray, you know something that's going to be a little thicker and that is not going to run. The liquids tend to run so these are usually better to use on horizontal surfaces. Now also to keep in mind when you're using strippers there are some environmentally friendly strippers, but most of them contain pretty harsh chemicals. So you want to make sure that you use goggles and then also that you have protective rubber gloves whenever you're doing that. And then also keep in mind that whatever you're stripping you want to protect the area. So you want to put plastic down and particularly if you're using a spray you want to make sure that plastic is spread out in a larger area than whatever piece you're working on. So the strippers are great to use for removing paint, removing varnish from furniture, from trim or anything like that. So the important thing to keep in mind when you're using stripper is that you use the appropriate kind for whatever surface you're doing and that you also make sure that you use your protective gear. I'm Tim Gipson and that's how you select paint stripper."
