"Hi, This is Laura Turner and today I'm going to talk with you about how to write a book and to get published. The first step is of course to write the book. What you really should think about when you are writing your book, is to write something good and original that will have a wide audience for it. Make sure that the book that you are writing hasn't been written dozens and dozens of times. Because, in today's world there are so many writers and so many books that it's almost sort of impossible to break in with something that's very well ploughed. So think about what your unique experience is going to allow you to write. Write on that. Rather than anything sort of safe that has already been tested and applauded. Write and rewrite this book or novel or collection of short stories, whatever you want to write. But, rewrite it. Because you are going to find that the more you write the better you are going to get. So, actually sit down and write over and over again and try to make it better every time. Finally, start sending out queries and abstracts to the publishing companies to try and get them interested in your book by giving them the summary of the book and your ideas for how you are going to market it. Hopefully, somebody will read one of the these and like it or will read your whole book and like it and publish it. So, Good Luck."
