Hi, this is Laura Turner, and today I'm going to talk with you about how to write a book on my life. Really, what you have to do first is write down everything about your life that is interesting, all of your most poignant memories. And out of that list you're going to want to pick the most pivotal memory from your life, and that memory; you're going to want to make into the climax of your book is really, you know, what I would advise you to do. You can write a book about your life chronologically, and sort of lead up to now I'm writing a book about my life. But that's not really the most interesting part of your life, is it? The reason why you're writing the book should be the climax of the book, so take that most pivotal moment, and make that the climax of your book. If the pivotal moment was very early in your life, your defining moment, you know, was when you were a child structure the book so that you write about your late life first, and lead up to the early life experience. So, you're going to start the book, you know, now; when you're writing, and lead back so you can actually sort of structure it, you know, backwards. This'll keep your reader in suspense as to what happened to you, you know, to make you into the person that you are today so that you can get back to the end, so they'll want to read all the way to the end. And if you want to also structure it in such a way that you have flashbacks that will sort of give little glimpses of that pivotal moment, and that if you go through your life currently and write flashbacks in the moments of your life that are, of course, triggered by what's going on in the present action of your life then you'll sort of have a really rich, unique structure to your autobiography. And finally, you might want to interview others about your life and write down what they say about you, because you might not remember some things that others remember, and maybe they'll have something interesting to tell you about yourself. So, have fun writing your book about your life.
