"Hi, this is Laura Turner and today I'm going to talk with you about how to apply for a grant. I'm going to give you a few points they're going to help you in the process. My first point is to find the organization that's going to work perfectly for your project. Make sure you're appealing to the right people for your money so that you don't waste your time and their's with your application. So number one, choose your organization. Number two, decide how much money you're going to need for this project. Be very honest with yourself and really get down in there and write down your itemized budget for the project. So fix your budget. Number three, start writing your grant and be very, very detailed about all that you need and everything that the money is going to do, not only in sort of the budget wise, but also how is it going to affect the surrounding area, how's it going to affect people in the community if you are running an organization like that. Number four, have someone help you in the process as a second set of eyes to sort of look at your grant and make sure that everything is in place because there is so much that goes into compiling this sort of application that you're going to really need somebody to help you with it. And number five, submit the grant will all required materials on the due date or before the due date and double check everything. So submit it all on time with all materials so that you won't get passed over, that you'll actually be considered for the grant money. OK? And pretty much that's it and really have very good luck with getting your grant."
