"Hi, this is Laura Turner and today I'm going to talk with you about how to write a Catholic wedding program. Writing a Catholic wedding program is much like writing a regular wedding program except if you're going to have a traditional Catholic wedding you're probably going to have a mass at your wedding. So this can create a much longer program than is usually seen in many weddings and it can be a little daunting as to, you know, what do I include and what do I not include. I've actually been to a Catholic wedding that had no program and it was very difficult for me to follow because I'm not Catholic. So think of the people that you're inviting to your wedding when you're writing this program. This is mainly something that they are going to be looking to in order to get into your service and to know what's going on. So, contain of course traditional information like the bride or the groom, the names of the bridal party, but you're also going to include the celebrant who conducts the mass and his assistants as well as the electors or the readers who read during the mass. You'll probably want to illustrate if you're going to go all out and make an actual program, you're going to want to illustrate all the parts of the mass as we see here in this example, but you don't even have to do this if you don't want to. You can just sort of say the nuptial mass, but if you really want to sort of give your people who are at your wedding a good idea of what's going on, you'll probably want to include all these parts that we see here. Good luck forming this sort of daunting but very special program."
