"Hi, I'm Sundae with Natural Sundae and I'm going to tell you a little bit about relaxation massage today. Now relaxation massage is also referred to as Swedish massage. And it's a massage whose main focus is to relax the superficial muscles of the body. A relaxation massage is the most typical kind of massage in our society. It does not delve into the deeper structures, it doesn't try to fix or correct any issues, it doesn't try to get out any knots, the main focus is relaxation, and many wonderful, wonderful things happen when your body is relaxed. Your heart rate slows, your whole body opens up, and a nice fresh rush of blood with oxygen and nutrients can feed every cell in your body. What happens during daily life is a lactic builds up from stress and exercise and byproducts from normal cell metabolism build up in your muscles. Where relaxation massage is a wonderful way to milk all that lactic acid out. When lactic acid remains in your tissue, you become sore and that's some things - theories that are used in sports massage in training, they like to massage the athletes in between training because that milks all that lactic acid out because it makes them sore. So in short relaxation massage is just that. It's aimed at relaxing the body and the mind, opening up the whole body, increasing circulation and taking away pain. I'm Sundae with Natural Sundae."
