Hi, my name is Reka Morvay. I'm a psychologist, and I'm going to talk to you about the importance of communication, and effective communication in your relationship. Good communication seems like it's this catchword that is just good all around, but there are very definite reasons why good communication can improve your relationship. For example, good communication increases satisfaction with your relationship, because you feel like you're being heard, and you feel like you're being understood. Good communication can also decrease stress levels. Obviously, if there are a lot of misunderstandings that lead to a lot of fights and ugly situations in your relationship that can increase the stress level. Good communication also allows you to make better decisions about your relationship that's better for both you and your partner, and therefore; that also increases your happiness and your satisfaction with your relationship. Good communication also increases predictability in your relationship, and increases your sense of control. These are both important features that allow you to have a more stress-fee, and stress-free, and therefore, a happier relationship.
