"Hi, my name is Reka Morvay. I'm a psychologist, and I'm going to talk to you today about how to tell if a person is lying. There are many nonverbal and body language clues that a lying person will give if they are not trel telling the truth. One of the major ones is avoiding eye contact, so refusing to look you in the eye when they say something may be a sign of lying. Fake smiles; smiles that only affect the lips, and not the muscles around the face and the eyes, the little crinkles and crows feet. If a person is smiling genuinely their whole face will be involved in the smile. If they are, if it's a fake smile then only their mouth will be smiling. People who are lying tend to continue to talk in an effort to give you even further details to convince you that they are telling the truth. So, if somebody seems to ramble on suspiciously long that may be an indication that they are lying. People who are lying also tend to mumble and not speak clearly. People who are lying tend to speak monotonously, and not emphasize personal pronouns. People who are telling the truth tend to emphasize I, and he, and she in a sentence. Also, people who are lying have a tendency to not use contractions, so somebody who says I didn't do it is more likely to be telling the truth than somebody who says I did not do it."
