"Hi, my name is Reka Morvay. I'm a psychologist, and I'm going to talk to you about how to discuss marriage with him. If you've been living together with your boyfriend for a while, or you've been going out for a long time, and you have marriage on your mind you may be wondering how to best bring up this subject with your boyfriend. First of all, if you've been together for a while then probably you already know how he feels about marriage in general, but in case you don't, then quietly try to sneak in the topic during conversations about maybe friends who are married, or maybe a TV show that you watch together that features a married couple, or what marriage means to you in general. These are all issues that you might want to bring up just quietly, just indirectly, and see how he responds to it. Now, if you think that he responds to it positively then you can start talking about your feelings, and it this will give you grounds for a discussion about this topic. If you want to have a more direct conversation this is a more sensitive area because you might be perceived as too pushy or too aggressive, so it is best to consider where exactly you are in your relationship and how interested you are in marriage, and what is your purpose in having this conversation. Do you just want to find out how he feels about it, or do you actually want this to lead to a marriage proposal?"
