"Cleaning your saddle is an important part of everyday horse care. It's important to clean your tack to make sure that everything stays clean to ensure the longevity of your tack. To begin with, you're going to want to have some water and a basic glistering soap. I'm going to wet my sponge, squeeze it out, too much water can damage your leather. I'm going to put some soap on the sponge and begin just covering all the surface. If your sponge starts to get a little bit dry, we're going to repeat the same process. You're going to rinse it out, squeeze it and put some more soap on. It's important to make sure you get your leathers cause this is the piece of the tack that has a lot of wear and could be very dangerous if it was to break. Taking good care of your leathers is important. It's also a good idea to lift the flap of the saddle up and get the billice that the girth attaches to as this is also a part of the saddle that you depend on for your safety."
