"Hi I'm Deborah and I'm going to show you how to sponge eggs for Easter. You need to start with your hard boiled egg of course. And I'm just going to take a new sponge although I already did one egg in red. Next I'm going to sponge a blue one. I'm going to put a little bit of vinegar on my sponge. That will help the food color dye the egg and then I'm going to use straight food color on my sponge. Just kind of put a little bit across it like that. Straight food color. Then I take my hard boiled egg, and it creates a beautiful speckled egg. We can make it as speckled as you want it to be. The tricky part is getting the top of course. So you want to put it in your thing and then finish off the top with your sponge. And there you go. If you want to do multiple colors, you can do that too. Would you like to put a little bit of red over the top of the blue? I can show you how to do that. I've already got some blue on my sponge. I'm just going to put a little bit of red on the red side, pick up my blue egg and just sponge a little bit of red just for a little contrast. There you go. Blue and red specked egg."
