In training a Coon Hound, it's basically working on tracking. You can purchase manufactured scents. It's a good idea to have a relationship with the dog and to teach them to be good around other dogs, as there will be other dogs loose in the field, and to be alert and sensitive to your needs. There are many breeds of coon hounds and however, any breed can be taught to engage in this activity, and in many cases, it just might be something fun that you enjoy doing, the tracking of certain game, but coon hounds are also generally easy to house train, so that is one of the many positive things about the breed."
