"O.k. so if your drum sounds like this, you're going to want to keep tightening your drums. So go back to what we were doing with the horizontal lacing. If the drum is so loose that it needs to be tightened this way again. But if you've done a good job and you've, with us today you'll go back here and tighten some more. This is an extreme example of under strung; your drum probably won't be that loose if you've tightened it well going this way up and down. And another people ask a lot; ask us a lot about drums and maintaining them is if you need to put oil or lotion on the head. And if you play your drum the, the oils from your hands and your skin will get on the drum, and you shouldn't need to put any weird oil or lotion on your drum. Just hands will keep it good. If you're not going to play your drum for a really long time, protect it. But some sort of cream I would not advise."
