"Hello my name is Arielle Reid in Budapest Hungary, and today I will talk about emigres. What is an emigres? Well to start off immigration like emigres is directional. So Canadian immigrant would be an emigrant to Canada, whereas a Canadian emigres would be somebody who left Canada to become a citizen or a national of another country. In the age of globalization and modernization the movement of people has become easier than ever before. So there are many reasons why people emigres. People may immigrate for love, people might immigrate to study indept, staying in the country that they study in. People might immigrate for work. Emigres' are different than refugees, refugees connotes a political status. As someone who had to leave their country of origin for safety reasons. Whereas emigres leave by choice. Canada for example is a country that was built by emigres, emigres from all over the world. The United States is another example of an emigres country. Now emigres as I said before are also immigrants. But immigrants to the the country and not from the country that they come from."
