If you never drive in the snow you can go with a tread that is nice and smooth. If you are going on a lot of snow or ice, you have to get a more aggressive tire. To take your tire out if you drive out in the desert, you might want something that has an aggressive that's made for sand and mud. You have to know where you are driving and what type of driving you do before you choose the type of tire you want. Most manufacturers make all different type tread and different types. There's four ply, six ply, eight ply, ten ply tires. The more aggressive tire you use you want it more higher rated tire to a ten ply if you are out in the woods.
