"Hello. My name is Arielle Reid in Budapest, Hungary, and today, I will talk about how to find government grants for farms. Now, compared to other industries, there are a lot of grants for farming and agriculture. But in order to find the grant that is best suited for your project, you need to identify who your project will benefit, and how exactly it will benefit your target community or audience. One of the first steps to take is doing a general search in your country's federal grant database. Generally, they're easy to use and free. When you type in a keyword such as genetically modified produce or farm ethanol, you'll be able to pull up grants and application possibilities that are best suited to your project. Another step is working with local and federal development agriculture or heritage preservation agencies. If your project consists of something like renovating an old farmhouse or restarting an abandoned farm, it might not be just in the farming industry that you would be able to find grants, but also in heritage, cultural, or other preservation organizations. So checking with local and federal authorities as to the nature and scope of your project, they will be able to help you find an appropriate grant. Another third step that is very, very useful is speaking to and connecting with local farmers and/or agricultural unions. Many grants are administered through these types of organizations, and they might also be able to help point you in the direction of finding a grant that will be able to fund your project."
