on 10/11/2009 MICROSOFT MAY BE HARDER TO USE BUT FOR PEOPLE THAT WANT THE BEST FROM THERE COMPUTER MICROSOFT IS THE WAY TO GO.Microsoft can be installed onto many types of computers like toshiba, acer and dell but not a macintosh, this means Microsoft uses its money for software and not the actual computer. So 1 company that spends money on the hardware and 1 that spend money on the software is better then 1 company having to work on both and this also means the user has more options about what type of computer to get.The trouble is deciding which microsoft compatible computer is the best.

"I'm Jonathan Ayres, with Network for Success, and today we're going to talk about, what is a good laptop for college? Well gosh, you know there's so many choices in the market today, and some people say, The best choice of a laptop for college, would be the cheapest laptop, and in some cases, that might be true, but let's talk about the best choice, and the best choice is going to be a computer that has certain very important features, that we want to look at today, and we're going to do that, with this laptop I have sitting right here. Now, you'll notice that this is an Apple, or MacIntosh laptop, but why do I say that this is the best laptop for college? Well, there are a couple of reasons, here. One reason right off the bat, is the MacIntosh computers are very highly crafted. They have the highest quality screens in the industry, whereas when you buy another brand, you don't know whether you're going to get the highest screen quality, because that's just not their standard, but with Apple and MacIntosh, that is their standard, so you start off with an excellent display. The second thing that is very important, is the ease of the use. MacIntoshes come right out of the box, turn them on, they're ready to go, and you don't have any questions about how to do word processing, or surf the internet, for example. The nice part about a MacIntosh laptop, is that it automatically connects to the internet, whenever it finds the internet, so you don't have to go searching for it. Let's take an example. How would that affect a college student? Well, let's say a college student had his laptop, and went down to a local restaurant, to have lunch, and sat down with some friends to chat, and opened up his laptop, because he all of a sudden, wanted to check his email, or look on the internet. If there was a wireless network in that area, the MacIntosh laptop, would automatically find that connection, and then pop up a message, and the screen asking you, if you wanted to connect to it, and it would also tell you whether or not it was safe, so that's another great advantage to having a laptop, that is made by Apple. Another issue that is very important, is how long does the battery last? and on typical laptops, PC laptops, the battery is usually good for about two hours, maybe two and a half. This computer, three and a half to four hours, is very standard, and that's without cutting back on any of the power settings. This is the type of thing you want to think about, when you're going out to pick a laptop, so is it easy to use? Can you surf the internet easily? use a word processor easily? Does it find its way around? Is it built well? Does it have a good display? How is the battery life? and the last thing is, does it integrate well with programs, and Apple, MacIntosh, has now become the leader, in integrating with programs across the board, so you can't lose. That's my opinion, on what the best choice of a laptop, for a college student would be."
