I should mention that a three foot by five foot flag is probably the most common size that individuals own for their homes. First you start with two people facing each other, one holding the side with the field of stars and with the other with the hemmed side. You do a fold in half, and then another fold in half. You want to make sure you've got a little bit of a crease along the top, smooth it out. Then starting on the hemmed end where the stripes are, you begin building your triangle. And you fold triangle over triangle, trying to hold it tight so there's no extra space and when you, eventually you'll get to the field of blue stars, blue with the white stars, and then you end up, and if there is extra material, you end up tucking it into the corner, into the...and it should end up resembling a cock hat from the Revolutionary war.
