"So you are going to begin by choosing your first color palette, color your hue which ever you are going for. With this piece I kind of wanted to move inside here in some more earthy tone colors. So as you can see from what I showed towards the beginning of the video, I've kind of chosen some a palette of sort of brown, orange, yellow tones. You can sort of see how they sort of complement each other. What I was thinking about when I was flipping through my books was just sort of keeping within this tone, this range of tones, going a little brighter and some senses cause I want to have a variety in order to work with my shadows and highlights. Cause this is what I'm going to be working towards trying to create a little more realism out of my piece, a little more pop. So I want to make sure that I have enough variety which I do believe I have here with pattern, texture and highlighting shadow work, in order to make my piece become alive. So here we have a nice variety of colors that are all within the orange, yellow and brown tone range. So that's what I'm going to begin with."
