"So in moving on to deciding what I would like to do with my next value and tone scales. It's really just deciding what compliments the part that I've all read been working on. Now when I'm talking about value and tone and hue, these may sound like. Well they kind of all sound like the same thing. And in some cases they slightly are. But usually with tone, we're dealing with the brightness of something. The strikingness of a color versus whether it's dull or not. So you can obviously tell the major difference between these two different kind of colors. Its not just the color that's the difference, theres a huge shift in tone. This is a more muddled tone. This is a much brighter tone. So when I'm working in my piece, I kind of like to add a little bit of everything. Because I find it makes a really dynamic difference in a piece if it has all the different parts and different hues and tones. So in complimenting to the golden and earthen tones that I'm all ready using, I want to work with colors that sort of work in that same range, even if the color is different."
