"Today we're talking about Betta fish, and part of keeping a Betta fish is making sure he's healthy. My name is Michael, and I'm going to tell you how to diagnose that. You're going to keep an eye on your fish, and make sure that he's behaving correctly, he's swimming around his bowl, he's not sitting at the bottom, that his fins are in good shape. If you're interacting with your Betta fish daily, you're going to notice if there's a difference in him. There are websites out there that can give you different resources, books, and a really great resource, is your local pet store. But one thing that I do when I'm taking care of my Betta fish is, if there is a problem, first thing, most likely the problem is, is that I haven't been maintaining the water quality in my bowl. If you clean your bowl on a regular basis, every couple of days, or once a week, again, it's going to depend on the Betta fish himself, on how dirty the bowl gets, but if you maintain clean fresh water in your bowl, you're going to have a healthy fish. But if for some reason we haven't done that, there are some products out there, that we can use to take care of this. Bacteria a lot of time is the problem when you have a sick Betta fish, and there are some natural products that I like to use first. There's a product called, Melafix, which is a natural anti-bacterial remedy for your fish, you can use that. And I also recommend using Pimafix along with your Melafix. And the reason for that, is sometimes if it is bacterial, there also can be a fungus involved, and so we're hitting both of those at the same time. We're talking today about, how to maintain your Betta fish. My name is Michael, and I've shown you how to do that."
