"You have a 4 month old little boy or little girl, and you're working on all kinds of development, and you want to know, what should I do to play with them? Well, I'm Dr. Donna with some advice on, what to do with your 4 month old. First of all, go and pick up a 99 cent beach ball, they will love playing with the beach ball, you can do so many wonderful things. If your working on upper body strength still with your little 4 month old, lay him on the beach ball, rock him back and forth. You can sit him on the beach ball also, do it with some songs. We also did- I use to do this with my little girl, tick-tock song, up and down, and sing the song, tick-tock, tick-tock, they will love it. It doesn't matter what kind of song, just play with them. You can use the beach ball also when they're laying on their back, to twirl it, to throw it up and down, watch them, they will giggle. Also, maybe put down at their feet, and start to see if they start kicking at the beach ball. If you have the opportunity to purchase a tunnel, a lot of stores have these little tunnels, and you can purchase them, you can lay your baby on one end of the tunnel, put them in there, or sit them in there if they're a sitter, and you go on the other end and play peek-a-boo, they will love it. You can also take simple balls and roll them through the tunnel, and see if they'll start to reach and grab, they'll be at one end, and you can roll all kinds of balls, big balls, little balls, big balls, any type, they will love the balls. If you have the flashlight at home, a lot of people do, flashlights are wonderful. You can sit your little one, if they're sitting, or laying, and you can just shine it, see if they'll start to reach and grab for it. They probably will, if you shine it on their foot, on their hand. You can do things like, just taking the flashlight and putting it under your face, and turning it on and off, it might scare him so be careful. If you have picture books, this is a wonderful time to start bringing out books of all kinds. Babies love to look at pictures. So try to get pictures maybe that have real life designs, like bears and ducks, or whatever, and just start going through them, start naming them off, talk about the colors, talk about the pictures, talk about the letters, they will enjoy that activity. Scarfs are another wonderful activity you can do, playing peek-a-boo with them, running it over your head. A lot of props you can just pick up and play with. I'm Dr. Donna with some advice on, how to promote your 4 month olds development."
