"Hello. My name's Tom Brintzenhofe, certified master mechanic from Reading, Pennsylvania. Today I'm going to show you how to change your car battery. First thing you want to remember; always wear your safety glasses. Sulfuric acid you get in your eyes is not a pretty sight. Don't try it at home. Make sure you have them on. First thing you want to do, take off your negative battery terminal. It's always the black one. And loosen your....your terminal up. And loosen your positive terminal up. Get 'em both loose. Take your negative battery terminal off first. Your positive battery terminal off first. And you have your...your wedge, your holder, carry whatever you want to call it down here, it's usually held in by a bolt. This one I already had loosened up ahead of time, just for, a presentation. You can take that out, set that off to the side. Just for show, since we're not going to actually change this battery, you'd take this battery out. Set your other battery back in it. Hook your positive battery terminal up first. Negative battery terminal up second, and put your wedge back in down here. Tighten that up. Tighten your terminals up, both sides. Make sure they're nice and snug. Give 'em a little spray of terminal protector, keeps 'em from corroding up. That's all there is to it. You're good to go."
