"Good afternoon, my name is Tom Brintzenhofe, certified master mechanic out of Reading, Pennsylvania. Today we're going to talk about how to clean fuel injectors. Now unfortunately there's no physical way of taking a fuel injector off a car and cleaning it. The only way to actually get in there and clean them is to run a chemical through. It can be done two different ways. One if you have the equipment that costs several hundred dollars, the actual one of the fuel will and clean them, that's great, if you have access to it. But most of us don't. The other way you can do it is about every other time you stop to fill up your gas tank with fuel is to get yourself a little bottle of either Lucas fuel injection cleaning, it's this little bottle here, works real great, the easiest way to do it just dump it right in your tank. And you run this a few times, a couple tanks full, four of five, injectors. As long as they don't have huge chunks of dirt in them will get cleaned out. They make several different brands, this one here is made by Two Plus Two workable. It also works well, there's literally dozens and dozens of different fuel treatments out there. The best thing to do is just try them out one at a time and see which one works for you, but this Lucas here will work pretty good for you right there and if that doesn't work, sometimes you will have to take it to a local garage, it's about sixty, seventy dollars and have them clean it out for you."
