"Hello I'm Matthew Burbank and I'm an Associate Professor at the University of Utah and I want to talk to you a little bit about how to register to vote in California. What you need to know first in order to get registered to vote in California is you must be eligible to vote in California which means you need to be a United States citizen and you need to be at least 18 years of age. Also you cannot have been convicted of a felony and so if you meet those criteria you can register to vote in California and essentially there are two ways to get registered to vote in California. One is to go to the secretary of state's website for the state of California and to get the registration form that you can download and fill out and mail in. Another way would be to do it in person which would be to go to your county clerk's office and fill out the paperwork there in person and provide the information required and to then give that information to the county clerk and in both cases either on line or in person you will be able to get registered to vote in the state of California."
