"Hey, I'm Liz Muller from Liz's Hair Design in Hollywood, Florida. In this clip, we're going to discuss if you should go swimming before hair relaxer. Now, you know that you shouldn't wet the hair at all or even wash the hair before relaxer. So I also consider swimming wetting the hair. You don't want to go ahead and get your hair wet before relaxer. First of all, the person's going to have to dry it, or you're really going to have somebody touching or messing with your scalp. You don't want to do that before you get a relaxer. There's no way. If you go ahead and you get your hair relaxed the next day, and you get it wet, you're going to have a problem. You're going to have burning sensation, it's going to sting, it's going to bother you, so don't go swim before relaxer. Do it a couple days after, you know? Wait to get your hair relaxed, and then go swimming, so do not go swimming before your hair relaxer. No matter what type of relaxer, by the way. There's different types of relaxers, okay? So if you're going to go ahead and use that, or you're going to go ahead and use your different relaxers, even if you do a Carotene treatment, which is a little relaxing for the hair you know? Even though it's Carotene, you don't want to go swimming. You're supposed to keep your hair dry actually when you do this, okay? So don't go swimming before hair relaxer. This has been Liz Muller."
