"Hi I'm Liz Muller from Liz's Hair Design in Hollywood, Florida. In this clip we are going to discuss about washing hair before relaxer. Now hair that's going to be relaxed, and this is very important should not be really brushed or washed. A couple of days before even three to four days before. Why, because what you are doing is, is you are taking the scalp and you are rubbing it and you are opening up those the pores, and you are hurting the scalp. Now relaxers are very sensitive, you know and what it does is you are going to end up getting damage, not damage but you are going to end up hurting the scalp causing sores, or problems. Even if you baste the scalp before then, the person is going to find that it's burning or stinging. So to prevent any burning or stinging you are not going to go ahead and wash the hair out before the relaxer. You will not wash it. Ok no shampooing and no brushing either ok. Come with your hair, even if it's dirty and then they could apply the relaxer on and you won't feel any kind of burning or hurting sensation. Thank you this has been Elizabeth Muller."
