"Hi, my name is Dave Andrews and today I'm going to give you some tips on web page building. I'm going to start by going to my computer, I'm just going to pull up my website. Now when you're building a web page, there's several things that you want to consider. First you want to make sure that you understand fully what it is that you're going to be putting out content for. Now in my case, obviously I'm selling software, so that's pretty obvious, but I still had to decide how I wanted to lay out the different products that I'm going to be giving to my customers, how they are going to appear on this web page. And that basically took a little bit of thought, sort of sat down and I decided the best way to show that in the way that I would like to show it would be to show each product along with the screenshot and just a little bit of text, nothing overwhelming for each individual one. And then I decided by designing a flowchart that if they would click on the title of the product, it would take them to the more detailed information on that page. So that gets you sort of started as far as deciding what you want your page to look like, how you want it to be laid out. Another thing to determine is what you want your navigation items to look like. It's a good idea to make your navigation items really stand out, that way your customers or the audience who's coming to your website will know exactly what they're getting when they click on some of these navigation items. Now, when you go to actually build your website, one of the things you have to do is consider the web host that you're going to be using. Now you can easily just go to Google and search for "web hostings" and that will present you with a lot of web hosting, Yahoo offers it and there's a lot of your larger sites that offer web hosting such as RackSpace and things like that. The one that I use is bananic.com. Sort of like banana, but it is bananic and they're very affordable and I've had a good run with them. But you do want to consider that they're going to be able to offer you the capabilities on your site that you're looking for. Are you going to be able to write custom programs that will serve up message boards and forums and things like that. Just make sure that they're going to be able to offer that to you. My name is Dave Andrews and I've just given you some tips on website building."
