"Your baby is three months old and you are wondering o'kay I've done all the songs, I've done all the silly faces, what more do I need to be doing? I'm Dr. Donna with some advice on stimulating your baby's sensory motor development. At this point your child can really take in a lot more stimulation but you still want to be careful not to overstimulate them. One thing that is great to do with babies at this age, bubbles. I am the bubble queen and I am going to show you, you can do big bubbles. O'kay I am the bubble queen. You can blow bubbles, big bubbles. There is also the opportunity to do, try not to eat the bubbles, really tasty. Babies love bubbles. You can do it when they are laying on their back or sitting up. Also beach balls. Love beach balls. Beach balls are a wonderful opportunity to lay your little one on the beach ball and I'm going to show you the tubie. A tubie would be great if you have to sit them in there and have a lot of toys and have the opportunity to touch them, hear them, feel them and play with them. But what I really love about the beach ball is it is a real versatile toy and you can lay them on their stomach and you can rock them. This is great for working on upper body strength, head and neck control because they will start to life. You can rock them from side to side. You can also lay your little one on their back, use the beach ball to toss up in the air and see if they are tracking it with their eyes. A lot of great stuff that you can do with a beach ball. Also one thing that I love, DVD's, I'm a big fan of DVD's. Put it in front of their swing, their high chair, let them view them for a little bit. A lot of these are great. They're language, they're music, there is a lot of movement in them. Also you can begin to work a little bit on just making sounds with them, giggling, talking to them. When you talk to the baby make sure you use the proper words. A lot of people use baby language. I'm not a big fan of that. You want your child to hear the correct way to say cat or dog. A lot of people want to say cat, oo dog, don't do it. Use the proper sounds with your child. I'm Dr. Donna and these are some tips on how to stimulate your three month old's sensory development. Good luck."
