"My name is Hester Lox. I am a Professional Organizer based in the San Francisco Bay area. Professional Organizers usually bill by the hour because there is no way to know how long any given job is going to take and that is because the job is really not dependent on the amount of stuff we are dealing with, it is dependent on the speed with which the person we are helping can make decisions that they can live with and be comfortable with. It doesn't have to be perfect on the first time. So when people ask for an estimate of what will it cost me to get my garage work organized or my house, I tell them that I can't give them an estimate but that I will give them feedback as we work about their productivity speed. I bill at $90 an hour which in the San Francisco Bay area is probably in the mid to low range for people with my degree of experience. I have a four hour minimum because not only for the obvious reason of you want to make it worth your trip to go some place but in this work you need to have a critical mass amount of time to help somebody in a way that they can experience real differences even in one visit. So you can make as much money as you want in this field if you're good, if you keep up your training, and if you deal well with people and let yourself be intuitive as well as experienced and knowledgeable. Again my name is Hester Lox. I'm a Professional Organizer in the San Francisco Bay area."
