Video Transcript

"In the world of financial planning there are various instruments to build wealth, one of those is mutual funds. There are "load funds", in other words funds that have a fee attached to them before you buy them. And then there are the more popular "no-load funds". What happens is all of your money goes directly into the investment so that you're able to participate in the growth of a group of companies, or in fact one company going forward. There are no expense fees or management fees, or any fee to drag down the performance of the fund, but in many cases a no-load fund has a lesser of a specialty nature, less resources that have gone into the management of it, so therefore load funds also are popular. However when budget is a concern no-load funds are the way to go. This is Patrick Munro talking about the benefits of no-load mutual funds."
