"Hi this is Jessica Smith. I'm with Blands Nursery in West Jordan, Utah and today we're talking about how to grow and sell cut flowers. First off I'm actually in the nursery industry and we don't sell cut flowers here but we sell the flowers that you can cut for your own enjoyment in your arrangements in your own yard. If you are interested in taking your hobby to the next level and actually selling your arrangements maybe look in to the floral industry itself or you can find out a lot of information in a lot of books out there. A lot of good flowers that you can actually cut your roses, your daisies, your gladiolas, larkspur, baby's breath, a good combination of all your flowers together. Make sure you've got a variety of flowers in your yard from elongated flowers, like I say snap dragons, gladiolas, anything that is tall and gives your arrangement a good structure base to your round flowers like your asters, your bachelor buttons, your daisies and that. Your round flowers are going to give your arrangement a nice focal point and your fillers like your baby's breath, your ivies, your fern leaves and that, that is actually what is going to give your arrangement fullness."
