"If you are wondering what kind of dog you would like to adopt, do research, get on the internet and start looking up breeds. If you are a person that is outgoing and loves the outdoors and jogging, swimming, those kind of sports, you definitely want a dog that is high energy, a dog that can keep up with you and enjoys your sport as much as you do. If you are a person who likes everything very quiet and peaceful you might consider getting an older dog or else make sure the breed or the dog you are getting seems to be calm. Dogs, there is dogs for everybody that will fit into everyone's different lives. Be sure to spend as much time as possible at the shelter with the dog. The dog needs to get to know you and hopefully you will be able to take him walking and by the end of a 30 minute or 40 minute walk you and the animal should be and feel very comfortable with each other or else possibly you should consider getting a different dog. If a dog is completely out of control and pulling you down the street maybe that is not the one you need to adopt. Maybe you need to get the little one over there or the one that is old that just likes to sit around. I'm Nancy with Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch."
