Pet rescue is a serious vocation that attempts to take the animals’ best interests to heart. There are more than enough loving dogs and cats in the country to fill the homes of American families wanting pets, and pet rescuers are hoping to fill those needs on a one-to-one basis, thus suppressing the 'puppy mills' and animal factories that supply major pet stores with animals bred under deplorable conditions. Pet rescue centers check out a family’s background, reasons for wanting a pet and home conditions before agreeing to adopt out that cute cat or dog. In this free pet adoption video series, an animal rescue manager discusses the process of pet adoption from a rescue shelter. Learn why it is important to adopt from a shelter instead of a pet store. Find out tips for adopting a puppy, an adult dog or a senior dog, and discover how to introduce a new adopted pet to current pets at home. Save animal lives by adopting a pet from an animal rescue.
"Before adopting a puppy you need to know what you're in for. They're a whole lot of work and a lot of precautions you need to take. I'm Nancy with the Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch. Adopting a puppy they're so cute and so joyful and so playful that they can really get themselves into trouble really quick if they're not watched. It's important not to ever leave a puppy alone in a room because they can find an extension cord or something to tear up or maybe your shoes or whatever. If you've decided that you do want to adopt a puppy. Especially if it's a breed dog make sure that you know what that dog is going to be like when it becomes an older dog. Or when it grows up. If you're a quiet type don't get a puppy that needs a whole lot of exercise and wants to be outside and running all the time. Do the research and find out which dog is the right dog for your home. Thanks. I'm Nancy with the Utopia Rescue Ranch."
