"Picking the right fish for your aquarium is more difficult than matching your drapes. Hi, I'm Bruce from Aquatek in Austin, Texas, and today we're going to discuss how to select fish for your aquarium. This begins with the selecting species that are compatible with each other both in temperament and chemical needs. In general it's best to select fish species that come from the same geographic area and attain the same approximate adult size. You want to look for fish that are healthy looking and active. If you see fish in the aquarium that are dieing or sick, don't buy the fish, any of the fish out of the aquarium regardless of how the one you want looks. Better safe than sorry. Picking the right fish is also important based on size of the aquarium. If you've got a ten gallon aquarium, don't buy an Oscar, it's not going to live in there. Until next time, this is Bruce with Aquatek in Austin."
