"Hi, this is Oak at Painted Temple Tattoo in Provo, Utah, and can ink cause blood poisoning? There's very, very few people in this world who have reactions to good inks, you know, inks that are done professionally. A lot of reds, a lot of purples. Sometimes people have reactions to them, it's not detrimental to them, but your body tries to push it out, and it just gets a little welted, takes a little longer to heal. Usually it turns out just fine, though. But, there, you know, if your ink is not correctly made, or correctly made by yourself, it can get bacterias. And therefore, yes, you can have, basically, being poisoned by your inks. It's basically an infection. You've just got to know what you're doing. You got to know what you're putting in you. You got to know what you're making, you got to know what you're using. Prevention of, you know, being poisoned by your inks is simply using the right ink. You've got to, like I said before, know what you're putting in you and know what you're using."
