"So you just got engaged and you're starting the planning process and you're not sure what to do. Well I'm Lori Randall with Simply Divine Events and I'm going to tell you how to plan a wedding. The first thing that you're going to want to do is set a date. Pick a date, stick with it. And then the next thing that you want to do is you want to think about your guest list. Think about how many people do you want to invite. Do you want to make this a small wedding, a large wedding, do we want to go out and extend out to all the extended family and co-workers and that sort of thing? So start talking to your family, bride's side as well as the groom's side, get your list down on paper, talk to your mother-in-law, your mother and see if there's anyone that they might want to invite as well. The next thing that you're going to want to do is find a location. Pick a location for your ceremony as well as your reception. Make sure that it's going to be large enough to accommodate your guest list. Also when you're picking your location, think about the time of year is it. If you're outside maybe if you're in, it's July in Florida, you might want to think about not doing it outside. It might be a little bit hot. It tends to be the rainy, hurricane season. So you might want to think about having a location that's inside. If you really wanted the water, the outdoors, think of a place that has a lot of windows or a scenic view. Then you're going to want to think about having, choosing your attendants, your bridesmaids, your best man. Go ahead and ask all of them. Start looking for your wedding dress, going to different bridal shops. You're also going to want to start researching vendors. Online is a great resource for looking for vendors. There's tons of online places to look for photographers, videographers, DJ's, bands, so start that process. You might also want to think about hiring a coordinator, helping someone keep you in the right track, making sure everything is happening, keeping you within budget. You want to set your budget. Those are some things to think about when you're planning your wedding. Make sure you have a checklist so you're able to check things off as you go. Online you can find checklists and it kind of tells you this month do this, the next month do that, so it's a lot easier for you to keep a file, keep things organized. Again, my name is Lori Randall with Simply Divine Events. And I know this seems like it's going to be a long process and it's going to be difficult, but you have a lot of support and a lot of online resources, and I'm sure you're going to have a great wedding."
