"So you were just asked to be a bridesmaid in your friend's wedding. You might be wondering, you know, what's involve in being a bridesmaid, what should I be doing? Well, I am Lori Randall with Simply Divine Events and I am going to tell you how to be a bridesmaid. First, things you're going to need for being a bridesmaid is a bridesmaid dress, also some of your dressy shoes to go along with your dress. And it might be smart to pack some comfortable shoes at well. So once the reception gets start, you might want to kick off those heels in, wear more some comfortable shoes like flip flops or something like that. Also, make sure you that have your make up bag and not many touch up make up and things like that you might need for pictures and that sort of thing. First what you want to do is let the bride know how appreciative you are of being chosen a bridesmaid because it is an honor to be a bridesmaid in your friend's wedding. And you want to make sure that you attend as many pre-wedding events that you can, actually before the wedding day. Really try to be there for the bride and be there as much as you can. You want to also ask the bride and the maid of honor and see, you know, "what exactly do you need me to do, do you need any help with you know, any certain things", kind of offer your help as much as you can to the bride and the bridesmaid, the maid of honor. You're also going to want to ask the maid of honor, you know, what type of help she wants with planning the wedding shower. Typically, that's the maid of honor's duty. But, a lot of times the bridesmaids also chip in and kind of help out with that financially as well as maybe just doing some decorations, that sort of thing. Also for the day of the wedding, also think about having all the bridesmaids get together and pack a kind of like a little survival kit for the bride and to put in that extra make up or any toiletries that she might need, breath mints, that sort of thing, extra deodorant, hairspray, so the day of the wedding she can have that for her. Also at the ceremony, you're going to want to help out, making sure everyone feels comfortable at the reception and at the ceremony, kind of welcome everyone as they're coming at the reception. Dance with other groomsmen and other guests and invite people to the dance floor to make everyone feel comfortable. You're also kind of their part of the party, the kind of, you know, helping host that wedding too. So keep that in mind as well when you are at the reception. So I am Lori Randall with Simply Divine Events and best of luck to you when you're, you're bridesmaid for your friend's wedding. I'm sure it's going to be a great time."
