"So your best friend just asked you to be the best man in his wedding. You might be wondering what duties are involved in being a best man. Well I'm Lori Randall with Simply Divine Events, and I'm going to tell you how to be a best man. The first thing that you want to do is let the your best friend know how excited you are about being the best man. It's a great honor to you for being a best man. And there's also you know quite a few duties involved in this. What you want to do is make sure that you attend all the wedding functions that are before the wedding. You're going to want to attend the engagement party if there is one. If there's a couples shower, you want to attend that. Also the rehearsal, the rehearsal dinner. Make sure that when you attend all of these events that you are there on time, possibly even a little bit early would be helpful. That way the bride and groom aren't you know getting too nervous. They know they can count on you the day of. For the day of the wedding you have quite a few responsibilities up until the reception gets started. Basically what you want to be doing is keeping an eye on the groom, making sure that he is getting dressed. Making sure that he has his marriage license. You have the bride's ring. You also want to make sure that all the other groomsmen are all getting to the the ceremony site on time. Those are the most responsibilities that you have basically just being there for the groom and making sure that he's comfortable and he has everything that he needs. Also in the planning process of of the wedding, you want to make sure that all the groomsmen have their tuxedos, that they got their fitting, they had the right size and all that before the actually day of the wedding. So keep that in mind too. And then once you get to the reception, you're also going to be asked to do a a toast or a speech, your best man speech. So keep that in mind as well. I know that this kind of seems like a lot of things you need to do, but I'm sure you're going to do great. You're there for your friend. So again I'm Lori Randall, and those are some ways on how to be the best man."
