"Scars can be unsightly and can affect a person's self confidence. But there are ways to camouflage a scar and conceal the severity of it. I'm Jackie Silver from Aging Backwards with how to camouflage a scar. There are over the counter products available that are specifically formulated for softening and reducing the visibility of scars. Check your local pharmacy or drug store for these products. For covering up a scar temporarily, try a waterproof cream concealer. Match the color of the concealer to the color of your skin as closely as possible so it won't be so obvious. Apply the cream to the scar and blend it to just beyond the outer border of the scar. Set the cream with a powder in either a matching color or a translucent powder using a cosmetic puff or cotton ball. Keep hair and clothing away from the concealer creams so it won't rub off and also to avoid staining your clothes. Remember, to camouflage a scar, look for scar reducing products at your local drug store or use a cream concealer that matches the color of your skin and set it with powder.
