"My name is Ryan Parker of Parker Home Renovations in New Braunfels, Texas and today I am going to teach you how to fix a squeaky door hinge. Everybody has a squeaky door hinge around the house and it probably drives you crazy. Today I'm going to teach you how to fix that. The first thing you'll need is some type of lubricant like a white lithium grease or you could use WD-40. You also need to go and find your hinge that is squeaking. You will need a flathead screwdriver and a hammer and you'll also need a rag to clean up whatever mess you leave behind and also to wash off your hands. Okay, the first thing you're going to need to do is you are going to need to get your white lithium grease if you are going to go that route and you need to go to your hinge. What you will have to do is you'll have to pop out your hinge pin in the middle and you can start by hitting a flathead screwdriver in the bottom side of the pin and then pull the pin out of the top so you pull it out like this. Then you'll open your white lithium grease and you'll want to dab a little bit on the hinge pin, rub it in real good and slide the hinge pin back into the hinge. Once you do that you can open and close the door several times and let the lithium grease wear in and that should fix your squeaky hinge. Now if you are going to use the WD-40 it is a little bit easier to do. It is a little more messy though. What you want to do with the WD-40 is you want to go to the door, where the hinge is. You want to use the nozzle on the WD-40 so you don't get it everywhere and you want to spray it on the inside of the hinge and on the outside of the hinge. Once you do that you wash it off with a rag, open and close the door several times and that should fix your squeaky hinge."
