"Chapped lips are most common in the winter months, but they can occur anytime especially if you're in the habit of licking your lips. I'm Jackie Silver with how to heal chapped lips. Curing chapped lips can be simple and affordable and leave you with soft beautiful lips. Apply a lip balm throughout the day and avoid licking your lips. When it's cold or windy cover your lips outside and use a humidifier inside. Exfoliate your chapped lips using a soft toothbrush or warm wet washcloth. Very gently rub away dead skin. Don't use toothpaste on the toothbrush. Apply a healing ointment. Use a lip balm that contains sunscreen to keep your lips hydrated while protecting them from sun damage at the same time. Remember to drink enough water to stay hydrated as well. To heal chapped lips cover them in the cold, avoid licking your lips, use a humidifier, exfoliate with a toothbrush or a soft cloth, hydrate and protect your lips from the sun.
