"Do you want to build arm muscles but don't know how to do it? This is Alice Monsaert with some tips on some exercises you can do and incorporate almost everyday to build some muscle. You can use some free weights or dumbbells and anything that is heavier than you're used to lifting will help build your arm muscle. The muscle groups you want to concentrate on are the bicep, the tricep, the shoulder and perhaps the forearm as well. Bicep curls, stand in a splits or in a position where your knees bent, the hips about, feet about hip distance apart, and just bend at the elbows. To build arm muscles you want to do about fifteen repetitions of an exercise, do a little break and perhaps if you feel strong enough, do another set of fifteen repetitions. Another arm exercise to build the arm muscle would be deltoid, the middle deltoid. Place your palms forward and reach your arms out to the side, just about a shoulder level, maybe about a little bit higher. You can also do that front motion, so we're lifting with the front deltoid and you can do that as well for the posture deltoid. So the shoulder has three parts, part of the arm, the shoulder deltoid, posture, middle and anterior deltoid. The triceps are behind the biceps in posterior and you can lift the dumbbell and press back. Again, use enough weights so that you feel the resistance and as the weights gets easy for you, you can increase the weight and pick up a heavier dumbbell. You also might want to exercise the forearms by actually doing wrist curls to develop those forearm muscles. So, it is important to have great arm muscle strength to complete your activities of daily living and stay strong for life. This is Alice Monsaert encouraging you to stay active and healthy."
